The October 2015 issue of Phoenix Magazine presented information on SCNM’s Thrive community education program and Nourish Café in the magazine’s Women’s Health & Wellness section. The article, featuring insight on women’s health from medical professionals across the Phoenix valley, showcased Thrive’s wide spectrum of services offered to the community.
Within the article, Roberta Jeffers, Thrive’s director of community education, described how the program can benefit community members through its classes on wholesome cooking, beneficial movement, and empowerment topics for making healthy lifestyle choices. SCNM’s collaboration with Nourish is also mentioned, as the partnership allows community members to take advantage of nourishment classes. “You can learn how to cook healthy meals and take tips and tricks home with you,” Jeffers noted in the article.
